The National Haitian American Elected Officials Network (NHAEON) serves as a central hub for organizations to channel their donations through our transparency and monitoring system, the Open Haiti Transparency Portal.Â
The portal is designed to transmit 100% (percent) of funds received to the designated organization(s) of the donor’s choosing.Â
Periodically, these donations are reported to the public for accountability and transparency purposes. Additionally, to promote our core focus of equality, NHAEON will not impose an administration fee for using its portal.Â
Any undesignated funds that NHAEON receives from a donor will be allocated to (an) organization(s) in good standing with NHAEON’s Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) and Accountability, Transparency, and Monitoring (A.T.M.) principles with clear evidence of their accomplishments in Haiti by a committee of professional experts, through a strict evaluation (vetting) process

What is the Open Haiti Portal?
The Open Haiti Transparency Portal is a public website that permits the review of transactional summaries of the donations collected (both goods & monetary) for Haiti’s humanitarian and rebuilding efforts. This portal will provide a transparent snapshot of how donations are used by tracking recipients and their project performance.

- To provide a public platform for reporting funds received, distributed, and implemented for humanitarian and rebuilding efforts in Haiti.
- To make information accessible to the public for transparency, accountability, and monitoring purposes.

NHAEON provides immediate help to the Haiti earthquake victims and their families
Contributions to the NHAEON Haiti Relief Efforts Fund have rapidly provided much-needed resources to Haitian families who have been directly impacted by the earthquake. 100% of donations went towards supporting the efforts of trusted organizations on the ground in Haiti. These organizations need our financial support to accomplish their mission, and we rely on the support of donors to quickly deliver relief to the Haitian people.Â
