What NHAEON is doing to lead that transparency & openness:

Since NHAEON is NOT a philanthropy organization, we have published daily reports on our website total donations received. Once the portal is ready to launch, detailed reporting will be made available for the public to view what we collected, who receives it, and what they plan to do with it.

NHEAON encourages everyone donating via our website nhaeon.org to please designate the funds to an organization of their choice that trusts them and please research that organization before donating.

For those who donate funds without a designation, NHAEON will announce an evaluation committee made up of seasoned career professionals from several sections and states (NO NHAEON Members serve on the working committee) who will evaluate and recommend to the entire board of NHAEON their suggestions.

Any organization can add their names to be vetted by this committee, establishing criteria before making any recommendations. Three-member of NHAEON will serve as honorary chairs and as a liaison between the committee and NHAEON. Once chosen, all organizations will be required to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) what is expected of them regarding reporting on a timely matter, accountability and transparency.

NHAEON Position on the collection of Goods & Supplies sending to Haiti

In 2010 the Haitian Economy crashed because of goods being imported into the country. We support the collections of goods that can be purchased in Haiti to be collected abroad, then shipping, transporting the good, and now security is an issue. However, WE fully support medical products & Supplies.

We do not support ANY organization; as an organization of elected officials, we are neutral and stand ready to assist any organizations who need assistance with their organization. However, our members in various states are encouraged to support local efforts within their community.

NHAEON has received medical supplies from corporations, businesses, or governments on behalf of NHAEON, and we distribute these items evenly to organizations that have agreed to sign our MOU. The MOU states all products receive must go directly to the affected areas, no exchange of cash for items, and must comply with terms and conditions for reporting accurate information to the portal and what the organization did with items given to them.

NHAEON will work with ALL organizations. We are not endorsing any one organization because our goal is to remains impartial and fair.
